Hi Everyone,
Greetings from a scorching hot Rotterdam.

Why do I want to learning coding: It feels real to me, coding it is a trade like any other, you can make something brilliant out of thin air, and I want that magic in my life.

My goal is to be a full stack developer, but to start I am concentrating my efforts on Front end and learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I learn deeply by doing, and I need to get out there and start working with other developers, build my portfolio, and network. (I would be gratefull for any pointers you could share, and what you found helpfull?)

My goal for the next month is to design and make a standalone web project a week, 1 hour a day on my current studies, and 1-2 hours a day to find and contribute to projects.

In 6 months, I want a portfolio I am proud of, have made connections and some friends along the way, and know the location of the light switch in the developer world, or a good torch would work too.

For the next 6 months: With a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (I will not lie, CSS still behaves like wet soap to me), and pretty and functional out of the way. My plan is to concentrate on learning more complex programming structures and start/continue learning back end development. At the moment I plan to learn node.js because it is based on JavaScript and should be easier to pick up, but I am open to other langauges, I should have a better understanding of what works better for me at that time.
