[Mobile Programming -Databases]?

I am trying to come up with android studio program that utilizes databases.The program should have three tabs:

1. Student database
2. Units table
3. The third tab should allow me to retrieve the units based on the ID,course and units the student does. The problem i have is that the databases are not working when i try to run.
