Hey! If youβre reading this, youβve landed on the brand new CodeNewbie Community Forem. Similar to DEV, weβre a home for all programmers to learn, ...

Looking forward to reading everyone's posts π
is it okay to post an article that was published earlier this month on DEV ?
As far as I read above I think it's ok!
ok thanks :)
Yep, that's totally cool!
Hi Folks!
I wrote an article about over-engineering: would love some feedback: community.codenewbie.org/hunterpp/...

Looking forward to seeing the new content that is written on here.
Hi, I wrote a 6 part series on how I built new web pages for our condominium using React, Gatsby, Chakra UI, Contentful (headless CMS) and Auth0. In part 5 and 6 I describe how I built a user admin dashboard for the web site with Auth0s Management API and Gatsby Functions. Hope you like it! :-)

Hey hey! Thanks for sharing this! Just wanted to let you know that in order for a post to make an author eligible for an award, the post must be shared here on CodeNewbie Community and be geared towards beginners. Thanks!
I shared a post with some thoughts regarding no code / low code.

Just to be clear, are importing original articles written before this month fair game? Does "between the first and last day of the month" only refer to the article's release date on this site?
Yep! For the moment, that's totally fair game as we're getting this community up and running. We might change this to only "articles published during a given month" once we're more established π
Yes! For now, you can import original articles originally written before January 2021 :)
What does "Share an original article here" mean? Do I have to write a post on Codenewbie or just post a link to my post from other websites here?
Hi! Thanks for asking. The post should be cross-posted in full here to the CodeNewbie Community, written by you, with the original location of posting disclosed via hyperlink. So a post just containing a link would not be elligible.
Hi Gracie, thanks for explaining it to me in details! :)
SOOOO, the deadline is January 31st?
Yes! The deadline to share your article here is January 31st :)
Ok, no pressure. and thanks. :3
Does code snippets count?
Good question! We ask that code snippets are included as a supplement rather than counting towards the total length of your post.
Wow awesome cool π
Cool idea! Can't wait to give it a try!

I wrote a post on loops in C [dev.to/jahnvisrivastava100/loops-i...]
Do we have to embed and share or write there only?
All you need to do is post your writing here on CodeNewbie Forem! Although posting your work on social media and/or embedding on other sites is always encouraged!
I wrote a post on learning to code in my 30s! blog.tarynmcmillan.com/5-tips-for-...
Hi Taryn! Thanks for sharing. Just FYI, in order for a post to make an author eligible for an award, it must be cross-posted to CodeNewbie Community in full with the original posting location disclosed via hyperlink
Are we allowed to cross post the article on dev and our own websites?
Yes!
I have wrote the post on HashNode can I share that for this challenge
As long as you post the article you wrote here on CodeNewbie in full (disclosing the original location of posting via hyperlink) that's fair game!
