README — Thanks for Joining CodeNewbie Community!

Hello CodeNewbie Community,

I’m so excited to have you all join the brand new home of CodeNewbie! The CodeNewbie community has existed for years now and we’ve leveraged many different tools and platforms to meet and find each other, but we’ve never had a place that was all our own. With the launch of CodeNewbie Community Forem, we can now connect, post, publish, and support each other — all in one place! I couldn’t be more excited.

But a true home isn’t just a gathering spot. It’s a safe space, an inclusive space, and a space where you can bring your whole self and fully thrive. This is that home.

We’re all here because of the code we write and are learning to write, but we are much more than just our code and a coding community should be as well. Real community is about sharing our stories, struggles, triumphs, celebrating the highs and finding support during the lows.

I hope you use this Forem as a way to build yourself and others up and make the coding journey feel less lonely, more supported, and more joyful.

If there’s anything I can do to make your experience here richer, please feel free to reach out to me directly or to anyone else on the CodeNewbie Team. We’re all here for you and excited that you’re part of this.

Happy coding!
Saron

I've gained so much from Code Newbie. Hearing about the journeys of developers like Tania Rascia, Amy Simmons, and Bekah Hawrot Weigel, who all made significant career transitions, encouraged me to decide to attend Lambda School at 47 years old. I'm so excited to see how many others in this community we can help change their lives through code.
