  1. Leave a comment below to introduce yourself! You can talk about what brought you here, what you're learning, or just a fun fact about yourself.

  2. Make some new friends by responding to another newbie's comment πŸ‘‹ Feel free to follow one another, too!

P.S. If you have a technical question, you've come to the right place! Use the #help tag in a new post to ask the community for assistance with writing your first line of code, picking a tool to use for a particular project, or anything else. No question is too basic.

Hello! I'm starting to prepare for life after social work and am hoping coding can lead to a profitable second career. I'm not looking to get rich but hope to be a little more comfortable as I get into the later years.

Hi! I am a psychotherapist/clinical psychologist. Recently i got a bit tired of the clinical work. Since i love learning new things i give coding a try. So far its a lot of fun. Started with basic html and css. JavaScript is next.

Awesome! That's such a cool change up in profession. πŸ˜€

I bet there's a lot from psychology that you can apply to coding β€” UI/UX would be a cool angle cause you're really getting into the mindset of how folks interact with whatever app, website, etc. that you're creating.

Anywho, hope ya dig being part of this community! πŸ™Œ

Hello! New here and eager to learn. I recently enrolled into a coding bootcamp and I'm getting started with pre-work. What suggestions on laptops and external monitors do you have? #help

Hey Yamari nice to connect with you. Buy a laptop that has at least corei5 processor,8GB RAM, 15 inches Screen, 256 or more SSD memory. You can buy a laptop that possess this specs with a moderate budget but if you have the funds I will recommend you go for laptop with higher processor and 16GB RAM with 500 SSD. HP and Dell is cool but in terms of battery i think Lenovo is better and also rugged especially the Thinkpad series.
