Hey, I just started self teaching code a month ago and after unsuccessfully convincing any of my friends or family to join me I've joined here to find people. I'm leaving the medical field for the much greener pastures of software development. I failed Pascal class in High School, so far this is turning out alot differently.
Welcome Ari! I'm glad that you're able to go ahead even if it means going it alone (which makes me more glad you're here).
Thanks! Atleast I am going. I did manage to convince my not so little sister (20) to try FreeCodeCamp and she is hooked. I wasn't sure...but when she uninstalled league of legends I knew it was for real. It takes alot to break that addiction.
Hello. My name is Ralph. I'm too old to be wasting any more time with my life. I wish to make code my career and I'm hoping CodeNewbie will help me find and keep my motivation and help me go through the difficulty of learning code. I'm starting off with Python. Where on the website can one learn Python? After I learn it, I'll see where my interests reside.
Thank you for this platform. I'm here to make a schedule for my life, do better for myself, stop living in this mental prison and make friends along the way.
Welcome Ralph! I don't know if there's any good directions to where to start learning here, but you might go through posts with the tutorial tag and bookmark some stuff that you find interesting.
