Is liquid cooling necessary for an i9 Gaming PC build?

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of building a high-performance i9 Gaming PC and I'm considering different cooling options. I've read that the Intel Core i9 processors can generate a lot of heat, especially when running demanding games or overclocking. I'm debating whether to go with a high-end air cooler or invest in a liquid cooling solution.

Is liquid cooling really necessary for an i9 Gaming PC, or can a well-designed air cooling setup suffice? I'm particularly concerned about maintaining optimal temperatures to ensure system stability and longevity, especially during extended gaming sessions.

For those who have built an i9 Gaming PC, what has been your experience with cooling? If you chose liquid cooling, which AIO (All-In-One) or custom loop did you go with, and how effective has it been? Alternatively, if you went with air cooling, which cooler did you use, and how has it performed in terms of keeping the CPU temperatures in check?

I'd appreciate any insights or recommendations you can provide to help me make an informed decision.

Thanks in advance!
