Thank you for this post. I recently began the correct process of googling solutions for my problems and wow what a difference. Your description for error messages is something I will take with me. There is always this ominous context around them, when they are meant to be a valuable tool. Probably will take a bit of time to get enthusiastic about seeing red in the dev tools, but hopefully one day. ; )
