I started to learn to code with Rails, what lured me in was its creator's leadership on convention before configuration. It was like a load of pressure on the 'how' was taken away from me and I could just then focus on the predetermined structure of a Rails app and spend my time learning it and the rest, over time, would come.
On my journey, I came across GoRails. When I joined I felt it was a bit too advanced for me, but Chris Oliver being the awesome guy that he is, created some content for newbies based on what I was struggling with, and he promised that he would deliver beginners course on Rails.
And here it is! Totally free.
