The journey through 2024 came to an end a few days ago with hearty cheers and a conviction for greater things to come.
Self aware as I have ever been, I now recognize that change often starts within, and for the most part, you just have to explore and experiment to truly understand and grow. Gratitude helps to put things into perspective, and to do that, is to take stock of the milestones, lessons, and growth experienced over the year.
As a Technical Support Engineer who went from specializing in Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive at Tek Experts Nigeria, to becoming an Analyst in Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps powered solutions at 9Mobile, this year has indeed marked an evolution from a reactive role into a more strategic, solution-oriented position.

My Role: From Reactive to Proactive
This year saw me transition from focusing on reactive tasks to becoming more proactive in my work. Support isn’t just about resolving issues, it’s about preventing them. I am prepared to contribute, because overtime I have learnt I don’t only sole immediate problems, but I am also equipped enough to anticipate future client support needs.
Above all, I aim to solidify my role as a strategist and problem-solver who can deliver results, not just because this year has reinforced my belief that support is at the heart of successful technology management—but also because, it’s not just about fixing what's broken but ensuring that systems run smoothly and users feel empowered.
