I think it so easy to forget about how valuable we all are when one is working (and making tons of mistakes). I heard a funny podcast recently. The person said that they were also very hard on themselves. And, If that harsh inner critic was a real person, they would not want to be around them long. Funny how harsh we can be on ourselves.
I like your example of how the good old stuff is battle-tested and important too.
