Woah! There's a lot to take in here. I think most of these things would be beyond a beginner's level, so I think this post would be better suited for DEV. That said, it's quite the extensive setup you've got going. Any reason you're using a physical external harddrive as opposed to cloud based?
Because I am used to having a physical copy and not everyone has fast enough internet for cloud backups. However I am looking into IDrive and Backblaze as possible solutions. I updated the guide.
