How to stop react from sending some data back to server.

I'm working on a application, where I'm getting data from API, there are certain filters used, but there are some date filters which are still going to the server, even if the service call is completed. That is even I change the tabs, apply the filters, it will retain the old dates for filtering data....if I don't wish to filter using dates.
