Its been awhile...
I got busy and before I knew it, I got lost in all of it. Having so many passions and ambitions, but also dealing with real life- work and school among other things. For a time, I felt I lost sight of my focus having this tunnel vision on school and work. Its definitely a challenge to balance everything, with the fact other priorities come to play. I am still figuring it out along with my UX design dreams.
I always have considered a career in UX since coming across it by accident in early 2021, but I was still unsure. It was still very new to me. At the time everything was obscure I was just going through the motions. I wasn't the most confident, but I decided toward the end of 2021 to just take that leap. I decided I wanted to learn more about the tech industry even if it meant not necessarily becoming a full fledged software engineer. So I joined the winter cohort for G{Code}House. This allowed me to explore different avenues in tech as well as myself.
While working on our website projects I became really invested in the design process. In a lot of ways it made me think how I can improve the looks and navigation of my site, even finishing it I still had my questions on how to make it better. After completing the program training in basic web fundamentals, I was told about the opportunity to complete a certificate in UX design from Grow with Google.
If I am being honest, I am terrified as I am still a full time undergrad and work. I hear about how many people do it, but I often think its out of my own capabilities. Then I remembered that I have to start somewhere and to seek opportunity not wait on opportunity. This was the main reason I took that leap in 2021. I did it and I graduated. I was tired of settling and I wanted to do something that I enjoyed. I want to keep up the momentum.
A lot of the time I have doubts, but then there are other times I feel confident in my abilities. It definitely won't be an easy feat with all that I'm up against, but I am willing to push through the animosity and create a fruitful future.
Here's to better and brighter days.

Good luck!
Thank you!
Good on you for starting somewhere. And good on you for following your passion.
If you happen to falter, just jump back in as soon as you can. Be easy on yourself. Interact. Everyone has challenges, so everyone can relate in some way with what you are experiencing.
You got this.
Thank you Shaun!
This was definitely reassuring. I look forward to continuing this journey.
