Hey KC

Good to see another "career switcher" like myself. Funny programming was always something I had an interest in doing but lacked the confidence to jump in. I'm glad I did. Its very challenging but I look forward to it everyday. However, I agree. It is difficult to get and stay motivated when in isolation. I find setting daily goals and a set schedule helps me get through it. I am currently working on Java and was also working on a Udemy coarse in Web Dev but I found that a bit too much so I am just focusing on Java for the time being. There is so much ground to cover with Web Dev that is a bit overwhelming, especially with CSS. Working on projects is probably where you gain the most knowledge in my opinion. Participated in a bootcamp and was able to work on a team to develop an android app. It was fun and got to learn a lot from others.

Anyway good luck and keep coding.

Hi Ron.
Yeah the whole lack of confidence thing really sucks - I still struggle with it. And 100% agree that there is SO much to web dev that it gets overwhelming.
Also I took a bootcamp that accelerated my learning but when it was over it was hard to push on.
Anyway I am just trying to take learning/coding a bit slower, to learn with quality (if that makes any sense!) and also trying to make it a more consistent part of my life.

Thanks and same to you - good luck!
Happy coding.
KC
