Start Coding worksheet
“Goals, Goals, Goals”

We’ll use this worksheet to inform and design your personal, learn-to-code curriculum.

Why are you learning to code?
I want to start learning to code because I am learning to code because I want to expand my capability to be more reactive. Increase my current income and biome a pioneer by building my own IT company that focus on crypto and app services._________________________________________.

What’s your goal?
What’s a tangible learn-to-code goal you hope to reach in 6 months?
I hope to be able to graduate a coding boot camp create 5-10 personal website with freelance work
12 months? Either working for a startup tech company. Working towards building own business and crypto currency.

What does successful learning look like to you?
Is it about building a bunch of projects, having a deeper understanding of a particular technology, passing a certification, something else? Visualize and write down what success looks like to you.
Successful learning to me means being able to effectively apply what you have learned when you're working on a project and being able to understand errors based on your level or expertise and training. The visual aspect of seeing your work as a reflexion from your learning path

How will you measure that success?
Is it about the amount of time spent, badges collected, courses completed? Are there tools you can use to track your learning so that you can measure your progress and document your success?

I will measure my success on testing and quizzes and coding projects. Networking with other individuals to compare and continue to learn. Also have a local mentor to help measure my understanding. Have completion and certificates to show proof of coding ability
Do you have a timeline, or any deadlines, associated with your learning goals?
Do you need to pass an exam by a certain day? Do you need to start applying for jobs by a certain time? Do want to finish a project on a particular date? Jot down any due dates or important time-related criteria.

By then end of 2021 I want to be a full-stack developer. I will have created a number of web sites for companies through freelance and on my journey to helping out a tech company going into 2022 or sooner for a season until I transition to my own business full time.

I am a total beginner myself. I am actually a Content Manager at Forem and admin here at CodeNewbie so for most of my career, I've been involved in tech-related content creation, editing, and marketing. Ever since I became part of this community, however, my interest in coding has skyrocketed!
