Wearing two roles that mean the world to me—independent developer and dad—I’ve always believed websites should do more than just function; they should connect and inspire. Recently, that belief turned into two projects I’m proud to share: a whimsical font maker that lets users craft text with personality, and a random animal explorer built from a moment of parent-child curiosity.
The seed for the animal explorer was planted one weekend, when my kid and I sat scrolling through a popular animal generator site. Every click brought a new animal photo—an otter here, a quokka there—but nothing more. My child kept asking, “Where does it sleep? What does it eat?” and I realized most tools out there miss that magic “why” behind each creature. That’s when I decided to build something better: not just a generator, but a tiny animal encyclopedia that feels like a game.
