Although I have used computers for 50 years, I have no training or experience with coding. I just decided I want to self-learn to create Android apps, and I will surely have questions as I proceed.
Hello everyone, my name is Douglas and I have used Windows based computers since 1985 and computers since 1970. I have very little experience with or knowledge of coding, but recently I've become motivated to learn. I will greatly appreciate any guidance along the way.
I'm a 60 year old undergraduate student of philosophy and computer science, aspiring to become a blogger. Currently interested in internet technologies in general and C++.
Happy to find another "old-timer" on here. I've been using all sorts of computers since 1981, have done a little bit of coding along the way, am studying computer science now. Here I'm looking for guidance, inspiration, motivation and of course learning buddies.
Like Douglas and KK's ABC, I'm an oldtimer, almost a fossil. But, I've loved learning all my life, and I want to keep learning. I love geography, both human and physical, and I'd love to be able to learn programming for geographical information systems applications like QGIS and ArcGIS in order to help non-profits and community groups to develop their own mapping and spatial analysis tools so that they can better understand what's going on where they live and what they might be able to do about it. Oh, and educational games. I'd like to try to learn how to make them, too. That's it!
