Hello everyone, my name is Douglas and I have used Windows based computers since 1985 and computers since 1970. I have very little experience with or knowledge of coding, but recently I've become motivated to learn. I will greatly appreciate any guidance along the way.
Happy to find another "old-timer" on here. I've been using all sorts of computers since 1981, have done a little bit of coding along the way, am studying computer science now. Here I'm looking for guidance, inspiration, motivation and of course learning buddies.
Hello, Everyone, too
Like Douglas and KK's ABC, I'm an oldtimer, almost a fossil. But, I've loved learning all my life, and I want to keep learning. I love geography, both human and physical, and I'd love to be able to learn programming for geographical information systems applications like QGIS and ArcGIS in order to help non-profits and community groups to develop their own mapping and spatial analysis tools so that they can better understand what's going on where they live and what they might be able to do about it. Oh, and educational games. I'd like to try to learn how to make them, too. That's it!

Hi, Ujjwal. Is Flutter fun?
Yes.

Hello guys, I'm Jecinta, from Nigeria. I'm an absolute newbie, but my love for Python is unweighable (LOL...if that's an actual word). I knew about this community just few minutes ago when surfing through the net about cybersecurity and hacking. Also, website designing, development, and data science sounds fun.......one of the things i love. I hope to learn a lot from y'all and become a pro in a year time.
I Jacinta. i am happy to meet another python beginner. I am gilbert from Kenya and I am interested in learning several programing languages but i would love to begin with python. Currently, I have little knowledge on Html and CSS but I am aiming at improving my skills on this fields too.

Welcome to the community!
Thank you :)
Hi y'all I'm a new dev from Lexington, KY who's currently trying to get the hang of vanilla JS before moving on to frameworks. I'm feeling pretty competent with HTML and CSS. recently I've just been hacking together little JS projects trying to learn more. Recently made a random CSS gradient generator (read about it on my profile) and I also made a little score keeper app, and am trying to get a number guessing game working but running into issues. Hope you're all well!
Hello peeps, my name is Alex and I'm a soon to be graduate full-stack web developer. I learned about CodeLand 2021 by accident, surfing the internet, and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm here to learn from people that share the same passion. I love lifting weights, running marathons and listening to scientific podcasts. Cheers!
Runner here as well!! Curious what podcasts you listen to.
My most listened to are Huberman Lab and Lex Fridman Podcast. It's crazy that the information we've access to through these podcasts is free still, I'm truly grateful for that.
It really is! I'm always looking for new things to listen to on my commute to work.
I'm Pola from Poland (I know it sounds like terrible pun). I'm newb to programming and still learning. HTML/CSS/JS are currently I look into. I have no formal education and learn from free resources that I find on the net. But I feel I need to get involved in some project to get it move and learn better.
Hey wish to be friends because I've started learning HTML and CSs
Same here brother
That’s some good pun there😁...which free resources do you use? cause i use freecodecamp, no formal education too and currently learning CSS after completing the HTML basics.
Would be awesome to connect with you.
Heyo everyone! I'm a full-stack software engineer, currently working as a teaching assistant for the bootcamp that I graduated from. I'm passionate about programming and helping others explore their passion and build awesome things. I'm also an amateur astronomer and love bridging the gap between my programming skills and my astronomy skills. I'm also a co-creator of a pretty neat "escape-room"-esque web-game. Feel free to give it a try here: escapegim.com. Can you help free the ghost in the machine?
Hi Julianne! I'm so interested about programming and astronomy! I would love to connect if you don't mind.
By the way, I think the link is sending to a wrong URL...Am I not supposed to be directed to a some kind of a game page with that link?
Hey @cledbuxandcodes! Yes, astronomy and programming is such a fun combo! I'm currently learning robotics programming so that I can build a GOTO controller for my personal telescope. It'll be really fun!
We can totally connect, though! You can add me on LinkedIn if you want: linkedin.com/in/juliannevela
As far as the link, that's the correct page. It's intentionally deceptively corporate. :)
Poor, poor you-know-who. What a way to die. Ick. But, I did have some problems, myself. Some of the reveals were overlaid with the original content of the field, and I couldn't really read the reveal very well, or at all. So, needs work. Oh, I used both Firefox and Chrome to check it out. Had the same problems with both. Otherwise, good effort! JT
I know! Poor guy! As far as the puzzles go, they are intended to be skewed and hidden to make them more difficult to find. That said, if there were any that were totally obscured or not visible for some reason, please let me know and I can take a look to fix them! :) Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun, albeit with some apparent issues.

Hi everyone, my name is AbdulQudus. Recently,I transitioned from the data analytics/data science path as I fell in love with the software development field. I want to make friends who will contribute to my growth and I contribute to theirs as well .
