Why are you learning to code?
I want to learn how to code because I would like to begin working on problems that I have seen as a social worker. Many times I am driven to find solutions to problems in very creative ways, and in that sense, programming and social work are very similar. I also want my niece to see that a woman can go into a male dominated field and be successful.
What’s your goal?
I am starting a bootcamp and am hoping to have a job by April 2022.
What does successful learning look like to you?
Successful learning to me means that I understand enough to teach and help others out. I always want to give what has been given to me to help build other people up.
How will you measure that success?
Completing Hackbright, helping others learn, getting a job.
Do you have a timeline, or any deadlines, associated with your learning goals?
There are no deadlines for me, but my loan for my program will be due and I am hoping to have a career as a programmer when that happens.
