Hi, I am Lanre from Lagos, Nigeria. I started learning to code last year during the pandemic and I'm loving every bit of it including the tech community like CodeNewbie. I am excited to make new tech friends and learn from amazing people here. Thank you.
Welcome to CodeNewbie!
Awesome Lanre, how far have you progressed and what is your desired stack?
I'm just learning basic JavaScript at the moment and I would love to go with the MERN stack
I just recently started on MERN, and am working on my first project. I'm making a personal pet project, but taking it seriously. I've been learning express and mongoose as I go, and it's been great fun to me!
That's awesome!! Well done!!
We're a little bit closer! 😅
Happy coding
Hiya, I'm Lucy from the UK 🇬🇧 and currently living in Cali, Colombia 🇨🇴. I started coding last year during the pandemic and have completely fallen in love. I did CS50 last year and now I'm doing CS50W (both from the University of Harvard). I am looking to connect with more programmers because I have no idea how to make this into a career and feel a bit overwhelmed with it all 🥺. My dream is to be able to work online and support myself financially through coding 😊
Hello Hiya, I did CS50 last year too. That course is really awesome and fun. I noticed you are in Colombia, I am from Pereira, Colombia. I have a couple of JavaScript and technical interview resources if you are interested. Happy coding
Hi Gabriel, thanks for the comment! CS50 is so great. I am actually doing CS50W at the moment, but I am taking my time :)
That's so cool that you are from Colombia. I would love these resources, could you share them with me? :)
I will check CS50W out and see how it goes. For now i am going to finish my course on codecademy on python.
Here are the resources I hope they help:

feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn linkedin.com/in/gabrieleruiz/.
Happy coding
Thank you for the resources, really appreciate it!
I just sent you a request on LinkedIn :)
Hi Lucy, am about taking the CS50 course. I don’t know if it’s really worth it. I’ll really appreciate your review.
Hi Amaechi, I personally loved it because I felt that it gave me a really good foundation in how to think like a programmer. David Malan is an incredible teacher and has an amazing way of explaining difficult things in a simple way.
However, the 2021 course has changed and the lectures are now a lot longer, so it might take a bit more time to complete.
Me whisper in your ear: CS50 IS WORTH IT
Really!
Welcome to the CodeNewbie community! 👋
I hope U can aim your goals.
I've through CS50 as well - that was... [no comment]. Lol.
Hello, my name is Stephanie from Kenya. I started learning to code in September last year and I'm currently learning React. I'm so excited to be part of this community😊.
Hello there my neighbor, 😀 I'm from Tanzania.
Hey neighbor👋
What are you currently learning?
Currently, I'm learning JavaScript and python.
That's awesome. How do you find it?
JavaScript is giving me a hard time understanding than Python. But I know things are always hard in the beginning.
So how's Reactjs?
I also had a rough start with JavaScript when I started learning it, but it gets better with time. Learning React has been great so far.
That's awesome.
I'm glad that I found someone that I can talk about tech with, Looking forward knowing you better :)
Welcome to the CodeNewbie community!
Thank you!

Hello, I'm Ibrah from Tanzania. I started learning coding in December 2020. I love coding but most of the time I feel so demotivated and bored because I don't have a mentor or a learning partner. I know I can't fly solo, so I need someone who's on their own coding journey as a learning partner I know it can make all the different as a beginner.
Hello. I'm Tora from the United States. I am here because I signed up for the CNC2021. I'm an introvert and kind of shy.
I completed my Master in Software Engineering four years ago and having been coding professional for about five years now. I still feel like a newbie and haven't worked on a none work related project since finishing my degree.
I am an accidental .Net Developer. I am currently working in C# and ASP.net
Welcome, Tora!
Just signed up for CNC2021 also! I can also relate to being introverted.

Hey there! My name is Nathan, and I’ve only been developing professionally (Python and JavaScript) for about 2 years. I’m excited about learning and building things! Correctly looking for resources to expand my understanding of writing clean, maintainable, and modular code so if you know of any good books or webseries let me know! 😁🤙🏼

Hello!
I'm Lin, and I currently live in Tokyo.
After a few years of believing it wouldn't be possible, I've finally started down the path to learning to code and (hopefully) making a career out of it!
I'm currently attempting 365 days of code (which I tweet about and write about on my blog) and I'm currently studying Javascript.
Nice to meet you all!
Hello everyone,
I am Jean and here to propose help an guidance to 2 or 3 people. I don't know how CodeNewbie works yet, although I would just add that I'd be glad to answer questions through messaging (on the platform anytime) or during visio-coding sessions (2 times a week). People having less than 2 years experience Web Development in general or more specifically in C++ ; JavaScript | ReactJS | Foundation ; Gatsby or Netlify or none at all but willing to learn are welcome.
I hope to become a good enough teacher in the next 2 years to teach web-development in South East Asia (Indonesia, Cambodia)
Jean

Hi folks
I'm keizzmann from Lagos Nigeria. I started learning how to code in 2019 and now i code in javascript, python and c# even though I'm pretty much a learner in all these. I keep struggling with finding a good learning method and motivation to do things, especially projects. I believe i can be better when I'm around a community that forces me to build projects weekly and teach me when I'm wrong and help me grow.
Cause if i do, I'm really passionate about doing good things and making them open source.
I found this platform from dev.to so i hope to make coding friends that build projects as the beat way to learn.
Thank you
Hey there everybody! Name's Joe! Hi I'm Tarrke from Paris, France. I started my dev journey ages ago on an old auric 2. Now I'm getting python to do stuff for me and I love it.

Hello! I'm Luan, 19, from the south of Brazil 🇧🇷. I'm a Software Engineering student and I'm now in my second year, but since I was 14 I knew I loved backend (By finding the json return from an API prettier than designing a website haha). Since 2020 I started to work with Revenue Operations 📊 and fell in love with data. I'm aspiring to become a Data Engineer ⚙️ and I looove Python, databases, english language and Canada 🐻🇨🇦.
Hi everyone, my name is Jamie and I'm from Toronto, Canada! I'm just wrapping up my final semester of my business degree as well as my first ever programming class, so I've been coding for 4 months. The course used Python, so I'm focusing on that for now! Does anyone have any tips for progressing from here?

Hi everyone. Soooooo excited to find this great community. Am a complete newbie to the whole coding thing. Am looking into studying full stack front end. Just starting my journey and I really need help folks.

I'm Ben. A Nigerian. I started Java not long ago and it's been great so far. Also doing a lot of coding challenges on Codewars(well, only the ones I can solve😄). I'm more of an introvert, so when I saw the codeNewbie community on twitter, I decided to join. Might as well boost my social skills and make good friends along the way. 😎

Hello. My name is Felipe, and I'm from Viña del Mar, Chile. I code sometimes, not for work, just to create tools to make my non-IT work easier, and as a hobby 😄. I would like to code more, regularly, to complete my unfinished projects, collaborate with open-source... and who knows, get a new job. Hi🤗 I am Ganiyat from Abuja, I learnt basic html, css then jumped to react framework for frontend without the knowledge of Javascript for a short period of time but I was able to grasp what I was doing then...
Now I work full-time (I feel undervalued and unfulfilled) so I am looking to switch career fully into the tech industry, also amidst all odds currently I am into backend, learning python for web development (Django) from Zuri.
I want to be able to apply my knowledge and skills acquired to solving real challenges.
Thank you, looking forward to Learning from you all.
Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
I started learning coding on my own with Java in a free online course last year and January I participated in a CodeBootcamp 6-week intensive remote course (there were two teachers teaching basics of front-end and back-end development via Teams). I am currently learning Python and studying elements of AI (a free online course: course.elementsofai.com/ ) at home. Studying on my own is a bit challenging with 5-year old kid and 15,5 years old doggie around me all the time so like Lucy wrote before. I am also looking to connect with more programmers because I have no idea how to make this into a career and feel a bit overwhelmed with it all. My dream is to be able to work online and support myself financially through coding
