  1. Leave a comment below to introduce yourself! You can talk about what brought you here, what you're learning, or just a fun fact about yourself.

  2. Make some new friends by responding to another newbie's comment 👋 Feel free to follow one another, too!

P.S. If you have a technical question, you've come to the right place! Use the #help tag in a new post to ask the community for assistance with writing your first line of code, picking a tool to use for a particular project, or anything else. No question is too basic.

Hope y'all dig being in this community!

If you're coming here from CodeLand, you may want to check out the previous welcome thread as many attendees commented there too.

Any questions come up, don't hesitate to ask!

Hey all! Beginner developer here. I love that this community exists and that developers and designers have a place to talk to each other.

One thing I'm currently struggling with is NPM and getting node packages to work. I'm also learning object oriented PHP right now, and I'm participating in #100DaysofCode as well which is paying off well.

Where are you all from and what are your backgrounds? I'd love to make friends.

Hello! I am very new to coding. Currently I am a HS Math (Algebra & Stats) teacher and I've decided that the upcoming school year (my 12th) will be my last as a teacher. If I could teach the students without the external BS and micromanagement, I would probably stay. A month ago I decided to find a career I could enjoy and that led me to coding. Are there any other teachers here who are transitioning to coding?
