I am a software engineer and I feel pretty much lost right now. Is there anyone else who feels the same?

I worked with 1 tech company last 2 years but they were so annoying and the distance was too long. They didn't want me to work remotely, although that wasn't a big problem for me. But...

The problem was...

I was wasting almost 80% of the paycheck on transportation charges. And that was a headache, how on earth will you work for a company that you got to depend on only 20% of the paycheck and waste the rest on transportation?

I talk to the managers about it but It didn't help, so I quit.

I have been depending on my side hustle business:

YouTube channel and my coding blog after I quit the job.

Currently, I only code for fun and I feel very lost right now. Because is seems like am up to nothing with my coding skills.

That's anyone of you feel the same too?

The software development field and companies are still adapting to workflows that benefit employee productivity, cost-effectiveness and job satisfaction. Allowing for more remote work and flexible schedules should be a top priority, especially as talent becomes more scarce and competition for skilled engineers increases. While some companies remain stubborn in their outdated approach of requiring constant on-site presence, there are undoubtedly many others embracing innovative practices that empower their teams through technology.
For those feeling lost or unsure of their skills and direction in software engineering, connecting with like-minded peers in online communities provides opportunities to share experiences, support each other and explore new possibilities together. Coding passion projects, open-sourcing tools or startups, freelancing, podcasting and blogging are all ways to keep developing expertise, build your portfolio and stay active in the field even without a traditional job. The trends may continue to shift but creative, collaborative problem-solving will always remain at the core of this profession. Staying adaptable and helping to shape the future of development is within everyone's reach.
Despite the challenges, there are positive changes on the horizon for Life Sciences Technology Trends in Software Development. Keep the faith, support each other and get to work building what's next. Your skills, experience and talents are still very much needed.

I know coding is not about fun, is about problem solving.
